Federer won his third match against Del Potro who gained back to securing a position in the world’s top ten after his 2010 wrist surgery. Currently, Del Potro ranks seven and Roger is considered to be the number one player of all times though his current ranking is three on world ranking.

The second set tie-breaker was crucial as Federer literally fought back with 6 points, winning over Potro. It was a tough second set as Federer chanced upon Potro’s forehand long thereby storming back in the game.

Federer believes it was a “good comeback’ as he had no hopes of turning the tables had it not been at the tiebreaker.
